Vietnam is
particularly known for its various styles of lacquerware such
as mother of pearl inlay, muckshell etc., and its growing silk
industry. A wide array of other handicrafts are also
available, including qualitive hand embroidery, wood carvings,
brass, marble figurines, ivory and tortoiseshell accessories.
War paraphernalia has become a popular souvernir in recent
years such as old cameras, watches, stamps and coins,
particularly ubiquitous in Ho Chi Minh City. Paintings
reminiscent of French styles of the 1960’s are in abundant
supply, silk curtains and hand painted ceramics are as wells.
